There is an upside to spending our days at home: we can finally clean, declutter and even redesign our spaces. This new series called #HeyjowQuarantineCorners aims to inspire creativity and joyful living at home despite what's happening in the world right now. Let's explore these beautiful spaces together, which have been generously shared with us by friends.
Model and entrepreneur Fatima Rabago-Muraoka's home exudes tropical calm with minimalist sensibilities.
"I really want to live with a minimum amount of furniture and things as much as possible," shared Fatima, who is the founder of Agua Brazilian Swimwear. Her home features wide spaces that allow movement (she and her husband Hideo, who is also a model and entrepreneur, have been doing home workout videos) and meaningful family time.
"Most of the furniture is custom-made while other pieces are from travels so each has its own special detail," Fatima added.
"Since the lockdown started, I’ve been organizing each room of the house, because since we moved I didn’t really have the time to do so since I was always busy between work, school and the kids. I concentrated on cleaning and removing instead of adding."
The spacious outdoor areas allow the family to enjoy nature and catch a bit of the summer sun.
