There is an upside to spending our days at home: we can finally clean, declutter and even redesign our spaces. This new series called #HeyjowQuarantineCorners aims to inspire creativity and joyful living at home despite what's happening in the world right now. Let's explore these beautiful spaces together, which have been generously shared with us by friends.
Fashion entrepreneur Aliza Apostol-Goco has an elegant yet approachable take on modern British colonial design.
"I love classic blue and white ginger jars mixed lots of greens," Chinkee, as her friends call her, shares. One of the things that Chinkee loves about their house is the natural light that bathes the space during the day.
"I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning, sorting, and purging. These tasks have been put aside for months due to lack of time so I’m tackling these projects head-on," she adds.
"Now that I’ve been spending so much time at home, I’ve begun to notice the tiniest details. Thank goodness for the help of friends, plus books for inspiration, I get to play around and rearrange vignettes around the house."
One of Chinkee's quarantine projects is this beautiful photo wall by their living area.
The blue and white theme continues in the dining room. Chinkee's husband, Chef Robby Goco, always cooks up a feast at home - and the azure elements make for a festive tablescape (and also calls to mind Santorini's picturesque setting).
"I’m really enjoying the newfound space in my home. I didn't add anything new but I did find myself appreciating things I have at home a lot more now."
