We caught up with Mika this morning for a quick chat about following trends, finding the right pair of shades, and her styling hacks for effortless dressing (that can help you save time in the morning).
On closet staples: "I like black and white because you can match it with everything."

"Sometimes I just go for my usual like a black or white t-shirt and or a slip dress. I feel like I’m dressed even if I don’t have to think hard about it. I just put on a dress, accessorize, then I’m good. Getting ready in the morning sometimes takes a while but more often than not, I’m really fast. I can get dressed in 10 minutes."

On accessories: "I like dangling earrings in different styles."
Mika usually favors white and earthy shades when it comes to jewelry. Shown here is her collection of Heyjow accessories mostly made up of dangling earrings. Some of these pieces date back to 3 years ago.
On finding the perfect bag: "For bags, I go for classic pieces and stuff that can go from day to night because I usually change my bag just once a month."

On eyewear: "It’s hard for me to find a good pair of shades because my face is so small and most of them make me look like an alien. So whenever I find a pair that really fits me, I buy it no matter what color. I have a thing for shades."
Style tip: "Don’t go for what’s trendy if you’re not comfortable with it."
